          FALL FESTIVAL 2015

          Party time

Tent in back lot will again benefit veterans’ group

It's been more than a decade since

Frank Agostini and Tony Belli put up

the first huge white tent in the parking

          lot behind E. G. Nick's restaurant dur-

          ing thePlymouthFall Festival.

They've been doing it ever since

          because everybody involvedhas a good

          time.

“We have a great time and so does

the crowd,” Agostini said. “This is a

way to help out several charities and

have fun at the same time. What could

          be better?”

          This year, VonZipperswill entertain

the crowd in the party tent from 8 p.m.

until midnight on Friday, Sept. 11 and

Big Ray and the Motor City Kings will

play beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept.

          12.

E.G. Nick's provides beer and wine

sales in the tent during the evening

          bandperformances.

“We've had Big Ray in here before

and they were here last year for the

          festival. The crowds love them,”

Agostini said. “These are both really

          goodbands.”

This year, as in the past, there will

be a $3 cover charge at the party tent

which will go to the Plymouth-Canton

          Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter

          528. Members of the veterans' organiza-

tion will be collecting the cover charge

at the door and issuing wrist bands for

admittance to the tent for those 21 and

          older.

“These vets deserve all the help we

can offer,” Agostini said. “We're happy

          to do it.”

The tent will also host the A.M.

Rotary Club Spaghetti Dinner from 4-7

p.m. Friday and Praise Baptist Church

will use the tent for a morning worship

          serviceSundaymorning.

This year, moving the car show to

Forest Street may bring some new

faces into the party tent, Agostini, who

is also the vice-president of the Fall

          Festival Committee, said.

“The Fall Festival is a good time for

everybody and with the tent, we can

help some of the groups like the vets

          and theRotaryClub.

This is just a big party and every-

body is invited,” he said. We've never

had any problems, just a big group of

local folks having a really good time.”
