On the beat
Plymouth Fife & Drum Corps to perform, sell almond treats
Visitors to the Plymouth Fall
Festival can experience a trip into his-
tory when the Plymouth Fife and
DrumCorps takes to the Lou LaRiche
main stage in Kellogg Park at noon on
Saturday.
The musicians, ages 12 through 18,
wear red and blue uniforms, authen-
tic in every detail to those worn by the
Commander–in–Chief's Personal Life
Guard of 1776 through 1783. Their
music is also authentic to the 17th to
20th century and is the same as that
heard by many famous names in
American history. The corps musi-
cians will appear after their most
recent performances at Comerica
Park and in Washington, D.C. where
they played at historicmonuments.
