Time travelers
Fife and Drum Corps tours country promoting historic music
Visitors to the Plymouth Fall
Festival can experience a trip back in
time when the Plymouth Fife and
Drums Corps performs on the main
stage in Kellogg Park at 11 a.m.
Saturday.
In their 45th performance season,
the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps
consists of young people, ranging in
age from12 to 18. Themusicianswear
red and blue uniforms, authentic in
every detail to those worn by the
Commander in Chief's Personal Life
Guard of 1776 through 1983. Their
music is also authentic to the 17th cen-
tury, with some modern twists, and is
the same as that heard by many
famous names in American history.
The corps musicians will appear after
their most recent tour of New
England, where they performed at
historic sites in New York,
Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine,
andVermont.
