Being an Inspiration...to Plymouth Community Seniors at Holiday Dinner

For the 21st consecutive year, Plymouth area seniors
gathered together to enjoy fellowship and cheer at the
Rotary Club of Plymouth A.M.'s Senior Holiday Dinner.
Sponsored by The Schultz Family Foundation and The
Wilcox Foundation, this year's event took place at the
Plymouth Cultural Center on Sunday, December 16. The
beautifully prepared festive meal was catered by Jeff Zak
Caterers. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
Student volunteers from the Rotary Interact Club at
Plymouth Canton Educational Park added to the fellow-
ship by serving the meals. In addition, students hosted
each of the round-tables -- proving much appreciated
interaction with young people, so often missing from the
       lives of senior shut-ins.
Local entertainer Geff Phillips, a member of the Rotary
Club of Plymouth A.M., carried on the tradition of emcee-
ing the event with warmth, humor and great singing.
Highlights of the afternoon included the live entertain-
ment of Rennie Kaufman and his daughter, Esther.
Rennie has been a professional musician for many years
and performs at high end events, private cruises and has
even worked for Oprah. Rennie is the pastor of Risen
Christ Lutheran Church on Ann Arbor Road in West
       Plymouth.
