Being an Inspiration…Interact teens
practice ‘Service Above Self’
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month, at
2:30 p.m. in the Canton High School Cafeteria, you will
find the 100+ members of the Plymouth Canton
Educational Park (P-CEP) Interact Club meeting to review
their last service project and planning for their next one.
Interact is Rotary's club for high school students.
Members follow the same “Service Above Self” motto as
Rotarians. There are over 15,000 Interact Clubs world-
wide, each involved in community and international serv-
ice.
Under the leadership of Interact president Josie
Hodges, this past year the P-CEP Interact members have
been very busy: working with Rotarians preparing chick-
en and spaghetti dinners at Fall Fest; serving Christmas
dinners for senior citizens; and planting spring flowers.
They have participated in raising funds to fight cancer
through the Relay for Life and in packaging thousands of
meals at the Plymouth-Canton Community Service
Project - Feed the Children.
Since 2002, the P-CEP Interactors have hosted an
annual Peace Summit at The Park. They invite participa-
tion from students in all the clubs and organizations at Raamaz Qureshi, Vice President and Josie Hodges,
the Park and from Interact clubs at nearby schools. President of the Rotary Interact Club at P-CEP,
