Being an Inspiration…through Little Free Library at Mariner's Inn
“This gloomy day just got a lot brighter...check it out!
Our Little Free Library is up and outside on the corner of
Cass and Ledyard.
Thank you Rotary Club of Plymouth A.M. for this beau-
tiful addition to Mariner’s Inn!”
That comment came from Program and Development
Director Erica Rakowicz of the Mariner's Inn in Detroit.
Erica spoke to our Rotary Club about the great work that
Mariner's Inn is doing for homeless men in Southeast
Michigan.
Mariner's Inn is not a hotel - it is a treatment and resi-
dential center for adult homeless men from all over
Southeast Michigan.
Mariner's Inn was founded in 1925 by the Episcopal
Diocese of Michigan with its office headquartered at
Mariners' Church of Detroit, hence the origin of the name.
In 1955 Mariner’s Inn was moved to its current location at
Cass and Ledyard.
Today, Mariner’s Inn is a leading treatment center, Plymouth Rotary A.M.
