AM Rotary Club spaghetti dinner to aid Flint children
There will be plenty of fun and
entertainment at the A.M. Rotary
Spaghetti Dinner this year, but the
cause the meals support is one of the
most serious in the country.
While Luigi the singing waiter
entertains crowds enjoying their
spaghetti and meatballs, Rotary club
members will be hoping for a record
turnout at the event which takes place
in the huge white tent in the rear park-
ing lot of E.G. Nick's onForest Street.
“This year, the funds raised fromthe
dinner will be used to send nutrient-
specific meals to Flint,” explained
Kate Rosevear, one of the founding
members of the morning Rotary Club,
and co-chair of the spaghetti dinner
this year.
“When Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha
came to speak to the club members in
April, she explained to us that the resi-
dents have plenty of water being donat-
ed, what they need are meals with the
essential nutrients necessary to count-
er the effects of lead for these chil-
dren.”
