FALL FESTIVAL 2016

Eric Joy is a busyman.
Along with his full-time career at
Christensen's Plant Center, his family,
and his duties as president of the
Plymouth Noon Rotary Club, he will
coordinate all the various activities at
the Plymouth Fall Festival for the
fourth time this year.
While it appears to be an over-
whelming job, juggling the needs of all
the civic groups and clubs, organizing
vendors, arranging street closings,
insurance, sanitary services, food ven-
dors and helping organize somany dif-
ferent activities during the weekend,
Joy says that the event still brings him
a real sense of satisfaction.
“The most important thing of all
about the Fall Festival is that it is for
the community. That's what I would
like everyone to remember. This is an
event to benefit all these groups in the
community,” he said. “That's the whole
point.”
Joy spent eight years on the Fall
Festival committee before taking over
as the president of the group and said
that the job really isn't as difficult as it
may look.
“These groups have almost all done
this themselves for many years. They
know what they are doing. They know
what they need and after a few years,
you kind of know what to expect that
everyonewill need,” he said.
