in this project,” Vega said. “She was
instrumental inmaking this happen. It
wouldn't havehappenedwithout her.”
Vega, 36, is the incoming president
of theNoonRotary Club andwhile she
said she has always been impressed
with her fellow club members, this
project demonstrated to her just how
civic minded and generous her fellow
Rotarians really are.
“It is amazing what these people
can and will do for the community,”
she said.
The official celebration of the reno-
vated monument is set 5 p.m. Friday,
Sept. 8 just as the 62nd Fall Festival
opens.
PlymouthMayor Dan Dwyer, all the
contributors and city officials are
expected to be onhand for the event.
“I think it is really great that the cel-
ebration can be part of the Fall
Festival,” Vega said. “This is such an
important part of the community.”

Popular craft show returns
Returning again this year to
Main Street between Penniman
Avenue and Church Street will be
the Plymouth Fall Festival Craft
Show where vendors will display
and sell their handcrafted, original
wares.
The craft showwill be open from
noon until dusk on Friday, Sept. 8,
from 9 a.m. until dusk on Saturday,
Sept. 9 and from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
on Sunday, Sept. 10. The show,
organized by Colleen Brown,
includes items of all kinds including
jewelry, which is limited and care-
fully selected, along with items like
scarves, handmade soaps, baked
goods, jams, cheeses, handbags and
other uniquemerchandise.
Vendors are required to submit
photos and descriptions of their
work before they are accepted at
the craft showduring the festival.
The craft show is always one of
the most popular attractions at the
Fall Festival where artisans offer
unique items for sale.
