“We feel fortunate to have a busi-
ness in a community like Plymouth.
Giving back to the community is
ingrained in my father,” Scott LaRiche
said.
When Lou LaRiche first opened his
dealership in Plymouth in 1970, it was
a dream come true for him, LaRiche
said. “He had always wanted a Chevy
dealership.”
LaRiche, 85, had been operating a
Volkswagen dealership in Findley,
Ohio, before learning he had been suc-
cessful in obtaining a Chevrolet busi-
ness in Plymouth. He followed his
father and his brothers into the auto-
mobile business in Cleveland where
they sold Oldsmobiles, Fords, Buicks
andLaRiche's ideal car, Chevrolet.
The first Lou LaRiche Chevrolet
dealership was located in what is now
downtown Plymouth and later moved
to the much larger current location at
PlymouthandHaggerty roads.
LaRiche was described by his son
as “a very young 85.”
“He still comes in to be sure we are
all working hard,” Scott LaRiche said.
That supervision includes checking up
on Scott's son, Steven, who now works
at the dealership with his father and
grandfather.

work together at the Plymouth Chevrolet dealership which sponsors multiple
community events.
