Annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast is Fall Festival tradition

Some of the earliest arrivals at the

Plymouth Fall Festival every year are

members of the Kiwanis clubs who

          begin preparing for the Annual

Pancake Breakfast at 5 a.m. Saturday

          morning.

Members of the two clubs, the

          Plymouth Kiwanis Club, which meets

in the morning and the Kiwanis Club

of Colonial Plymouth, which meets at

          noon, combine their efforts annually

at the Pancake Breakfast during the

          Fall Festival.

According to Mark Riegal, a mem-

ber of the club, not much has really

changed during the four decades the

          club members have been raising

funds to nurture and protect children,

help those with handicaps lead fuller

lives and assist the needy in the com-

          munity.

The fluffy pancakes are made from

the same recipe and the sausage

comes from the same supplier. One

change, he said, requires a thank you

to another service club in the commu-

          nity.

“We do owe a real thanks to the

          Plymouth Rotary Club,” Riegal said.
