The veterans will be on hand, checking
identification to ensure that party
goers are 21 or older and collecting the
$3 cover charge.
“That cover charge all goes to the
veterans. If we can do some good for
these guys and repay their service a lit-
tle, well that'swhat wewant to do.”
Agostini said that while the cover
charge is minimal and goes to the vet-
erans' groups, it isn't unusual for folks
to donatemore at the door.
“This year the Friday night band
will be Social Bones, a band started in
2010 from various incarnations of the
renown Baked Potato band. The live
show includes improvisational jams
weaving one song into another, creat-
ing a live experience for fans.
Social Bones covers classic rock to
modern rock, blues, reggae, country,
disco, soul, funk andbluegrass.
Each member of Social Bones is
also a songwriter and the band usually
performs some originalmusic.
Serious Jack will take over enter-
tainment in the Party Tent on
Saturday, Sept. 9. The band has been
performing throughout the Detroit
Metro area for almost a decade as a
six-- piece rock, dance band fronted
witha female singer.
Comprising seasoned musicians
from a wide variety of musical styles,
the band covers a wide mix of rock n'
roll, funk, and light jazz along with
smooth vocals to entertain a diverse
crowd.
“We're going to have a great time,”
Agostini said.
