patient judges ensure that nearly every entry leaves with a
ribbon.
Again this year, there will be a pet parade prior to the
judging and the Humane Society and some dog and cat res-
cue organizations may be on hand with adopted and adopt-
able pets, hoping to find permanent families.
No advance registration is required and best friends can
enter their pets Saturday morning prior to the actual show.
Pets can be entered in multiple categories, judges agreed.
The show is sponsored and organized each year by the
local Plymouth-Canton Optimist Club which has served the
local school district and several community events since
1949. The club supports programs such as spelling bees, ora-
torical contests, math jeopardy, bike safety rodeos, and The club members meet at both Plymouth and Canton
