‘Puurrrrfect’ pets
Traditional Optimist Club Pet Show set Saturday morning
The contestants usually wiggle,
often drool and sometimes even
attempt to plant a kiss or two on the
judges in attempts to win a ribbon at
one of the most popular competitions
at the Fall Festival.
The traditional Optimist Club Pet
Show, a decades-long tradition at the
festival, will take place, as usual, begin-
ning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 at the
main stage in Kellogg Park. The
Optimist Club Pet Show has been a multitude of dogs and cats, bunnies, assessed in categories like largest,
mainstay of the festival for more than snakes, rats, hamsters, a tarantula, tur- smallest, shortest, tallest, longest and
