The Inkster Police Department and Inkster Commission will host
the Dorothy Gardner Memorial bake sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
on Wednesday, Feb. 27 to support Inkster community outreach.
The event will take place in the lobby of the Inkster Police
Department. Dorothy Gardner created the event more than two
years ago to support community outreach efforts by the city
police department and commission on aging. Following her
passing, the Inkster Police Department dedicated the bake sale
to honor her legacy, creating the Dorothy Gardner Memorial
Bake Sale. All items at the bake sale are $1 this quarter, with
proceeds from the sale supporting concession equipment for
free movie nights and Coffee with a Cop events. The funds also
support the department efforts to provide basketballs, jump
ropes and chalk for children in the city. For more information,
please contact the Inkster Police Department at (313) 563-9850.
