Gina Wilson-Steward, River Rouge, announced that the next meeting of the NAACP will be held on Feb. 11 th at
7:00 p.m. at the Caroline Kennedy Library in Dearborn Heights; and, the March 11 th meeting will be held in
Garden City.

Councilwoman Williams announced that Lavora Barnes was elected as the first woman party chair at the
Michigan Democratic Convention.

Councilwoman Talley gave a thank you to those who have been praying for her father, Deacon Talley, during his
surgery which took place earlier today. Councilman Wadsworth spoke about the new concrete being laid in the
Oakbrook Subdivision. Mayor Pro-Tem Barden complimented the DPW workers on the fine job they did plow-
ing the roads.
