Congratulations
The Northville Township Firefighters Charity Fund, a group of Northville
Township Firefighters who spend their off days working, collaborating and
fundraising for the Northville community, recently received the 2021 mParks
Community Service Award. The honor was presented to the group members
at the regular meeting of the Northville Township Board of Trustees earlier this
month. The award was based on the support the group provides to public
recreation and park programs in the township. Northville Parks and Recreation
and Maybury State Park, which belong to mParks, the professional association
representing parks and recreation agencies in Michigan, co-nominated the
organization for the award. The Firefighters Charity Fund provided support for
Safety Town, the Daddy/Daughter dance, the all-inclusive play structure for
children of all abilities at Maybury State Park and several other programs.
