ROMULUS - WAYNE
Into the future
The recent Vision Romulus-Our
Community, Our Future think tank work-
shop drew a large crowd of participants at
the Romulus Senior Center to learn about
the future plans for the city and offer sug-
gestions. The think-tank process helped
to define a broad vision, values, goals and
directions. It was conducted as two highly
participatory 3-hour workshops that used
scenario-planning to produce plausible
futures for Romulus looking out to 2030.
The scenario-based think-tank is among
the efforts of city officials to gain better
understanding of community priorities
and goals that contribute to the creation
of effective strategies and actions for pro-
gram and resource allocation. The next
step in the process will be a series of
Focus Group sessions taking place on
Nov. 9-10. The community survey will
remain available until Oct. 14 and officials
are hoping for more input from the com-
munity. Access and complete the survey
and share it with family, friends and neigh-
bors at https://www.research.net/r/
