Wold said. He said that quite often
people do comment on the condition
of the car when the couple takes it out
for a drive. He said that one of his
favorite experiences was during the
dream cruise a few years ago when
the car was stopped at a light and a
photographer from the New York
Times jumped into the car to take
photos of the rest of the cruise.
“The writer wasn't with him so we
weren't mentioned, but the pictures
were printed,”Wold said.
“The only problem with the car is
that it doesn't have air conditioning,”
Wold said. “That wasn't a problem
when were younger, but these days,
wemiss it.”
In addition to their son, Dana, the
couple has a daughter, Carol, and
grandchildren, Cameron, Brendan

On a roll
One of the highlights every year of the Independence Day parade is the
Bike Parade, when children throughout Northville decorate their bikes in
the most patriotic fashion possible. Sparkling sequins, flashing mylar, bal-
loons and streamers all add to the red, white and blue themed rides that
travel the entire parade route. The bike parade is sponsored annually by
Northville Meijer and the company awards a $50 gift certificate to the Best
Decorated Girl's Bike and the Best Decorated Boy's Bike in the parade.
There is no age limit and no entry form. The only requirement is a decorat-
ed bike ready for the parade line up July 4.
