a bargain and, as always, children
younger than 5 are served at no cost
with the purchase of an adult ticket.
The volunteers begin setting up for
the breakfast as soon as The Gathering,
across from Kellogg Park, is clear of
Bingo games players on Friday
evening. The volunteers haul in the
huge griddles, the mixing and serving
equipment and the enormous boxes of
disposable serveware including plates,
cups, knives, folks and spoons along
with condiments like butter and syrup
and cups for coffee and orange juice.
While the volunteers have been on
site since sunrise, breakfast service
usually begins at 7 a.m. and will contin-
ue until noon.
