Carousel Acres will bring favorite animals to festival
South Lyon's not too far from
Plymouth, and you could say the
Carousel Acres animals know theway.
“They know what they're doing
because they've done it so long,” said
Carousel Acres owner Tammy Iaconelli.
“Just jump in and off we go. A nice,
sunny day inMichiganwouldbe great.”
Carousel Acres will, weather permit-
ting, have animals at the Ice Festival 11
a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Jan.
13-14. They include a miniature horse,
donkey, goats, sheep and an alpaca or
two.
The farm is observing its 25th year
this year, and is U.S.D.A. licensed and
insured. “We have been to Plymouth for
many events,” said Iaconelli. “We've
done the Ice Festival for years. We
enjoy being part of that.”
The family has about 22 acres in
South Lyon, and is open to visitors in
the summer as well as doing private
parties for occasions like birthdays all
year. They're both mobile and animal
lovers.
Carousel Acres is also home to rein-
deer, arctic fox, lemurs, tortoises and
more. “Children, adults and all ages
enjoy the animals,” she said.
The Family Petting Zoo during Ice
Festival will be located next to the Ice
Playground,
