LadiesNight Out in Plymouth
The Annual Ladies Night Out in down-
town Plymouth is scheduled from 5-9
tonight, Sept. 24.

shopping, gifts, samples, prizes and
refreshments. Several restaurants will
also have special drinks, appetizers and
more.

Awards dinner planned
The 2015 Belleville Area Chamber of
Commerce Awards Dinner will take place
from 6-11 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 25 at Angel
FoodCatering.
Tickets are priced at $50 and include a
three-course buffet meal, beverage, beer
and wine, comedy entertainment, awards
ceremony and a silent auction. Tickets
are available at the Chamber of
Commerce office, 248 Main St. in
Belleville.

Mettetal hosts open house
Canton Plymouth Mettetal Airport will
host an open house from9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Sept. 26 at the airport, 8550 N. Lilley Road
inCanton.
The event is free and will feature live
music, aviation display and vintage air-
craft along with a classic car show and
model airplane demonstrations.
Discovery plane rides and helicopter
rides will be available for a fee and there
will be food andbeverages for sale.
Legislator hostsmeeting
State Rep. Kristy Pagan (D-Canton) will
host coffee hours at 10 a.m. Sept. 26 at
Leo's Coney Island, 9624 Belleville Road
in Belleville and at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 in the
Purple room at the Canton Public Library,
1200 South Canton Road in Canton. Pagan
invites residents to join her to discuss
their thoughts and ideas about how she
can best represent and address the needs
of her constituents.

provide information about her work at the

Medicare is topic
Bettie Hughes of The Senior Alliance,
Area Agency on Aging 1-C will present
information about Medicare eligibility,
coverage and enrollment options along

Library sells used books
The Wayne Public Library will be sell-
ing used books and media from 10 a.m.
until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30 and from
noon until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 and
Saturday, Oct. 3.
Organizers said there will be a huge
selection of adult fiction and nonfiction as
well as children's and teens books.
All proceeds go to support the Friends
of theWaynePublicLibrary.

OpenHouse set at fire station
The Canton Fire Department will be
hosting an open house from 10 a.m. until 2
p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Fire Station#1,
located at 1100 S. CantonCenterRoad.
The open house will include station
tours, a vehicle extrication demonstration,
fire gear dress-up station, fire safety fun
bags for kids, fire prevention handouts,
hot dogs and popcorn. The Fire Safety
House will also be open for children to
tour.
The open house is in conjunction with
National Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 4-10,
to promote fire safety in the community.

PENN-Taste-TicCrawl set
The Plymouth Community Chamber of
Commerce, in a joint effort with the
Friends of the Penn, will host the Annual
PENN-Taste-Tic Downtown Plymouth
Restaurant Crawl from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday,
Oct. 6. "Crawlers" can walk around down-
town Plymouth enjoying delicious sam-
ples and treats frommany of their favorite
Plymouth restaurants.
Attendees will get a chance to vote for
their favorite taste and restaurant. Tickets
are pre-sale only. The cost is $20 for adults
and $15 for children 10 and younger and
can be purchased at the chamber office,
850 W. Ann Arbor Trail in downtown
Plymouth.
Church hostsMomsale
A Mom-2-Mom and Bake Sale is
planned at Willow United Methodist
Church from9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Oct. 10.
Admission is a non-perishable food
item or $1. Gently used clothing, toys,
books, games and other items will be for
sale. All proceeds go to Willow Women's
Group Thanksgiving baskets, the food
pantry and school supplies.

Barefoot Productions will celebrate
the 10th anniversary of the theater
group by bringingMan of LaMancha to
thePlymouth stage.
The classic story of DonQuixotewill
continue on the Barefoot Productions
stage through Sunday, Oct. 4. David
Alexander of Redford serves as the
musical director for the production,
the first musical of the group. Amanda
Durham of Dearborn Heights is the
vocal director and Mike Cuba of
Livonia staged the production. Craig
Hane serves as supervisor of the entire
productions as well as scenic designer
and lighting engineer.

numerous awards, including the Tony
for Best Musical, features the classic
songs: I, Don Quixote, Dulcinea and, of
course, The Impossible Dream.
Principle players in this production

Cervantes/Don Quixote, Anne Morgan
(Livonia) as Aldonza/Dulcinea and
Jonathon Wennstrom (Canton) as
Sancho. The other featured cast mem-
