summer music series, "Sounds in
Downtown", at theRomulusHistorical
Park from 7-9:30 p.m. the second and
fourthFridays inJuly,andeveryFriday in
August.

TheRide for theRedShield,abenefit
for theSalvationArmy ofbothPlymouth

Themotorcycle ridewill be escorted
along the route from thePlymouthCorps
headquarters at 9451 S. Main St. in
Plymouth to theDownriverCorpsoffices
at1258BiddleAve.inWyandotte.
Registrationwhich includes a conti-
nental breakfast and building tourswill
beginat10a.m. inPlymouthand the ride

Woodhaven.
The fee toparticipate is $20per ride

Lakeside concert is set for 7 tonight at
HorizonParkonHighStreet inBelleville.
The concertsusually last about 2hours,
organizers said, and in the case of
inclementweather, theevent ismoved to
theBellevilleUnitedMethodistChurch
onRoysStreet,rightacrossthestreetfrom
thepark.
There are a limitednumber ofpicnic
tables/benchesatthepark,organizerssaid
they strongly encourage folks to bring
chairs or blankets for seating.Food and
non-alcoholicdrinksarewelcome.As the
concerts takeplace inacitypark,alcohol
isprohibited.Localrestaurantswillbeon
hand selling a specialmenu of food,
drinks and frozen gelatoduring theper-
formances.
