Northville City Council members
have been presented with a balanced
budget of $16 million for the next fiscal
year.
The budget is balanced, according to
Sandi Wiktorowski, the city finance and
treasurer and shows spending of about
$7.27 million in the general fund, $3.45
million in the sewer and water fund and
about $900,000 in the housing commis-
sion fund. The figures are predicated on
an anticipated tax revenue increase of
$207,000.
Revenue in the general fund account
is estimated at about $5 million in prop-
erty taxes; license and permit fees of
$365,500; state revenue sharing of
$545,674 and fees for services of about
$660,000.
The police department budget totals
about $3million and the fire department
at about $900,000.
Anticipated general fund spending is
projected to be $561,680 for public
works, $304,362 for planning, zoning and
inspections.
City administration is budgeted at
$1.25million.
Those interested is seeking
one of four positions on the

In addition to the petitions
that must contain signatures of
25-50 registered voters in the
City of Plymouth, potential can-

filing at the time they submit
their petitions.
To be eligible to hold office
in the City of Plymouth, candi-

cial obligations to the city.
Should there be more than

four expiring terms, a primary
election will take place Aug. 8.
The top eight vote getters from
that primary will then have
their names on the November
ballot.
The expiring terms include
one 2-year term and three 4-
year terms on the commission.
Terms will begin in November
of this year following the gener-
al election.
