           Hop on board

           The Easter Bunny Express recently traveled to St. Thomas a'Becket Church and two other
           neighborhoods as Canton Leisure Services and the Canton Public Safety Department
           helped residents celebrate Easter and spring cheer. About 150 residents were able to have
           their photo taken with the Easter Bunny and enjoy Easter candy.  In addition, participants
                                            were able to choose from donated items collected
                                            by St. Thomas a'Becket Church, including:
                                            reusable bags, raincoats, rain boots, hats, gloves,
                                            sports equipment, arts and crafts kits, toys, as well
                                            as personal care items such as shampoo, tooth-
                                            paste, bath gels and more. “These types of special
                                            events help strengthen our community while pro-
                                            viding a fun and supportive experience for the par-
                                            ticipating families,” said Laura Mortier, Canton
                                            recreation specialist. “Canton Leisure Services and
                                            Canton Public Safety's partnership with St. Thomas
                                            a'Becket is an indispensable part of the equation
                                            which helps us meet a critical community need that
                                            would be difficult to fulfill without their support.”
                                            This special Easter Bunny Express was designed
                                            to engage community members in a personalized
                                            festive celebration, as well as provide an opportuni-
                                            ty to enhance camaraderie and provide an oppor-
                                            tunity for community members to come together in
                                            a safe and positive environment, officials said.

                    OZGA SANITARY SEWER INVESTIGATION PROJECT

         The City of Romulus is requesting sealed bids for the Ozga Sanitary Sewer Investigation Project.
         The project is located on the approximately 0.15-mile stretch of Ozga Street between Porter Street
         and West Huron River Drive. The work includes installing 10-inch sanitary sewer within an ease-
         ment along the front of the six homes on the west side of Ozga Street.
         No pre-bid meeting is required.

         Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City of Romulus Clerk until 2:00 PM local time, on
         April 20, 2021.  All bids should be clearly addressed:

         cent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each Bid.
         The City of Romulus reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or waive irregularities in Bids.  No
         Bid may be withdrawn for a period of one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the scheduled
         closing time for receipt of the Bids. A contract may ultimately be awarded to the lowest most respon-
         sive and responsible company, as determined in the sole discretion of the City of Romulus or other-
         wise in a manner deemed by the City to be in its own best interest.

         Neither the submission of nor acceptance of any bid shall constitute a contract between any bidder
         and the City of Romulus.  No such contract shall exist without first being approved by a formal
         action of the members of the Romulus City Council and only after all required bonds and proof of
         insurances and copies of endorsements have been received by the City and the agreement is signed
         by authorized representatives of the City of Romulus and the successful Bidder.
