Billy Farwell, the owner of the Penn
Grill and Bar, started his restaurant
career at the age of 16 at Huck's
Bavarian Inn doing all the things that
need doing in a restaurant.
Dishwashing, bussing, bartending and
managing. He bought Farwells and
Friends when he was only 22 and
owned that restaurant for 27 years. He
also owned two Jet's Pizza stores and
JB Bamboozles in Farmington Hills,
Warren and Dearborn. He and part-
ners Vincent Spica and Chris Knight
bought the Penn in 2007, and have
made it a favorite spot with locals and
visitors.
The Penn offers free WiFi and is an
ideal place for a familymeal, a friendly
drink or hanging out with friends. The
Penn offers daily food specials,
Karaoke on Tuesday and Trivia on
Monday. Locals consider the food out-
standing and the menu offers a wide
range of choices, alongwitha full bar.
Good food, good service and a good
time all the time is the motto at the
Penn which has become a favorite of
locals.
