Clean-up

Volunteers freshen up park
Banotai Park got some tender loving
care this spring when volunteers took
on the tasks of cleaning leaves, brush
and accumulated winter debris from
the area. Headed by Sharon
Pokerwinski, Sumpter Township parks
administrator and secretary, the crew,
including Richard Pokerwinski, Holly
Swinson, Drusilla Allen, Tim Rush, Roy
and Krystall Tackett and her daugh-
ters Faith and Cloe along with J.C.
Honey and Jeff Lominac, took on the
task despite the cold, wet weather
conditions. The garbage and trash was bagged, piles and piles of leaves raked and the playground area cleaned. In addi-
tion, the crew mowed the park grass preparing to open the park for families to enjoy this year. another volunteer session to
clean and spruce up Graham Park will be scheduled and “volunteers are needed” Pokerwinski said. “Hopefully, we'll get
more citizens to come out. I just want to thank those who helped, especially my wonderful husband.”
