Helping hands
The Sumpter Township Parks & Recreation Commission consists of a 21 member volunteer group that is sponsored by
the Sumpter Township Board of Trustees. They volunteer their time to provide wholesome activities for the families within
the township. Members of the commission include, left to right, front row, Don Swinson (Board of Trustees Liaison), Holly
Swinson (Co-Chair), Dru Allen (Treasurer), Selena Swinson and Kim Toms (Chairperson). In the second row are Margaret
Rochon, Jennifer Price (Secretary), Virginia Belinski, Joanne Posegay, Jim Posegay and Sharon Pokerwinski. In the back
row are Jim Chudzinski, Jay Bardell, Karithea Murry Hannible, Cheryl Toms and Richard Pokerwinski. Not pictured are
members Kevin Rochon, Becky LaPalme, Danny Jones, Mary Carter, Esther Hurst and Anna Bellamy. Events organized by
the Sumpter Township Parks & Recreation Commission include:Children's Easter Egg Hunt; Sumpter Country Fest
(Memorial Weekend - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday); Family Fun Day (July); Car Show (September); Turkey Shoot
