Warm wishes
Two handmade quilts will again be raffled off
during the Sumpter Country Festival. One of
the quilts, queen-size with a colorful lighthouse
design, was handmade by an anonymous
donor. The other, a quilted throw, was donated
by Sumpter Township resident Ernie Butzin, at
right, and is an intricate pattern of blue and
yellow. The handmade quilts represent many
hours of painstaking work piecing together the
fabric panels to complete the final patterns.
Tickets for the quilt raffle will be on sale all
weekend and the winner will be announced on
Monday, May 28.
