Magician will bring illusions to Kellogg Park stage
Friends of the Plymouth District Library will bring some
real magic to the Fall Festival stage this year.
The Friends are sponsoring a performance by Gordon
Russ, a leading Detroit magician with an extensive list of
credits. Russ will perform at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday on the
Kellogg Park stage. Russ, and his trusty sidekick, George the
Raccoon, are expected to keep things lively. The event is
free and there is no registration.
In the event of inclement weather, the show will be
moved to the main level meeting room in the library at 223
South Main St. in downtown.
Russ has been practicing his magic since professional
debut which included an extended overseas tour in 1988.
He has traveled and entertained in Europe, Australia and
China. Nationally, he has performed his illusions in New
York, Chicago and at the Toledo Zoo along with other ven-
ues. His special style of street magic never fails to draw a
crowd, organizers said.
He has appeared at the Ann Arbor Art Fair, the East Gordon Russ delights and entertains with the help of an
Lansing Art Fair, Grosse Pointe Art on the Pointe, and the audience volunteer.
