One of the most popular places in
town is always E.G. Nick's on Forest
Street where owners Tony Belli and
Frank Agostini want everyone to have
a good time.
“We hope everybody comes by dur-
ing the Ice Festival to enjoy the live
music and the Party Lot in the back
parking lot during the weekend,”
Agostini said. “That's what we're here
for.”
This year, Big Ray and the Motor
City Kings will entertain in the tent
beginning at 8 p.m. Friday and Fifty
Amp Fuse will perform Saturday. The
entertainment will continue until mid-
night. There will be a $3 cover charge
at the tent both nights which will be
donated to the Plymouth Canton
VietnamVeterans group.
There will be beer, wine and mixed
drinks served in the tent both Friday
and Saturday nights, Agostini added..
E.G. Nick's will also be the site of the
famous Svedka Ice Bar on what is usu-
ally the front patio. This year, it has
been converted into a lodge where
folks can sit down and enjoy the spe-
cialty drinks from the bar carved com-
pletely fromice.
E.G. Nick's has become one of the
favorite restaurants in the area offer-
ing American cuisine with a bit of a
twist. The new individual specialty piz-
zas on a unique crust are what many
feel pizza really ought to be and the
unique pear and spinach salad has
been attracting the lunch crowd.
The plankedwhitefish at E.G. Nick's
has been named the best in the state by
food critics and the ribs are also award
winners.
“We keep the favorites that people
love and try to add some new, updated
current items to the menu, to keep it
fresh,” Agostini said. “Our special
lunchdishes usually sell out.”
Visitors also enjoy the display of
celebrity memorabilia, guitars and
photos tastefully displayed in E.G.
Nick's where many diners have discov-
ered celebrities sitting in the next
booth or at the longest bar in
Plymouth, where a full menu of spe-
cialty cocktails and huge selection of
beers is available.
