Welcome to the Parade
Welcome to the Annual Northville IndependenceDay Parade.
We want to thank St Mary Mercy Hospital for again sponsoring the Independence Day Parade. We are so extremely grateful to them for their
generosity and for their participation in the Parade. Each year the employees, doctors and nurses work on their float and then walk in Northville's
IndependenceDay Parade. Many thanks, we couldn't do it without you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, to our many parade sponsors - youmake the parade just that much better and people fromall over southeast
Michigan have the opportunity of seeingwhat a terrific community supporter you are. Everyone thanks you
This year, the parade looks to be another crowd pleaser with bands, clowns, cars, pets, bikes, characters, mini cars, vintage cars and the list
goes on. Each year the parade grows and newentries join the celebration.
It is not too early to begin thinking about next year and we would love to see you in the 2014 parade. Get your subdivision neighbors together
and enter a float - you never know, you might be the award winner! How about a pot and pan band - at least you would be unique and might win
themost unusual entry award!
You'll never knowwhat youmight win if you don't enter!
Northville is such a wonderful place to celebrate Independence Day. From the time you enter the community and see everyone in the uniform
colors for the day, RED, WHITE, and BLUE, you know this is the place to celebrate our country's birthday. Everyone is in such a celebratory mood;
the little children waving their flags anticipating the start of the parade, the senior citizens sitting in their chairs along Main Street waiting to see what
this year's parade has in store and families greeting friends and neighbors at the Parade - it is awonderful place to be!
This is the 15th year that theNorthvilleCommunity Foundation is hosting the IndependenceDay Parade inNorthville.
Each year, beginning in August right after the parade, planning begins for the following year. We have a committee of 25 who work all year to
bring Northville the best Independence Day Parade. We also have an additional 25-35 volunteers who show up the day of the parade 'just to help'.
We could never do it without this tremendous cooperation and theNorthvilleCommunity Foundation staff thanks each and every one of you.
