Success of annual event depends on host of volunteers
Without the constant dedication and
effort of the Milford Memories commit-
tee, the event would never get off the
ground, explained Joell Beether, execu-
tive director of the Huron Valley
Chamber of Commerce.
“These individuals put their heart
and souls into this festival and it shows.
Some have been involved since the very
beginning and some are new this year,
but all the same they love what they do,”
she said.
Each committee member is listed
belowwith the year they joined the com-
mittee, many were hard working volun-
teers for many years prior to joining the
committee, noted Beether.
The Huron Valley Chamber of
Commerce sponsors Milford Memories
and is marking the 25th anniversary of
the event this year.
In addition to the leadership of the
committee, Milford Memories is aided
by more than 500 volunteers from the
residents of the Huron Valley. These
individuals work numerous shifts and
come back year after year, Beether said.
“They are an amazing bunch of peo-
ple that we are proud to have on our
team. Milford Memories volunteers
really domake a difference.”
