How do you improve on perfec-
tion?
Adifficult task, but members of the
Plymouth Rotary Club Chicken
Barbecue Committee have continued
to try during the last 56 years.
Not much has changed about the
annual chicken barbecue, and for
good reason. The popularity of the
event has proven they have awinning
formula that doesn't need much fix-
ing. Still, anything can always be
made better, according to Chicken
Barbecue Committee Chairperson
Kay Linville. She along with commit-
tee members Paul Opdyke, Scott
Wirgau, Mike Sullivan, Bill Weber,
Jeff Stella, Rich Eisiminger and advi-
sor Mike Richardson, have been
meeting andplanning formonths.
“The most important thing about
this event is the good we are able to
do in the community,” Linville said.
“Every penny of the money from the
chicken barbecue goes right back into
the community. There are no admin-
istration fees, nothing like that. This
is really a charity event.”
