Civitans will host annual Taste Fest Friday
A sure sign of success is growth,
and the Plymouth Fall Festival Taste
Fest attracts more and more patrons
each year.
This year the event is co-spon-
sored by the Plymouth-Canton
Civitans, a group which has served
thePlymouth andCanton areas for 40
years.
Proceeds from the event will go to
help the Civitans with projects like
school donations, Christmas gifts for
needy children, donations to local
charities like the Salvation Army and
many others.
Rob Costanza, owner of Station
885 restaurant in Old Village, will
host the event in the lower parking
lot at his popular Starkweather
Street location in Old Village from6-8
p.m. Friday, Sept. 7.
“It's a great bargain, it's a lot of fun,
andpeople really enjoy it,” he said.
For the third year, Costanza will
have the parking lot landscaped into
a park-like setting.
The restaurants set up underneath
pristine white tents and local chefs
and restaurant owners begin offering
samples of some of their best dishes,
all for one price. The restaurants
donate the food and proceeds from
the event will go to help the Civitans
this year.
Tickets cost $15 for adults and $5
for children under 10. They can be
purchased at the Plymouth Chamber
of Commerce, Station 885 or at the
door the evening of the event.
As usual, there will be a free shut-
tle from several points in downtown
Plymouth to the restaurant so
patrons can enjoy the event without
anyworries about parking.
