Graduation day
The Romulus Firefighters took extra pride this year in the recent graduation of cadet
Grant Bafile who graduated from the Schoolcraft College Fire Training Institute. The
firefighters sponsored Bafile as part of an effort of both the Romulus Police and Fire
Departments to help mentor the next generation of leaders and public servants. A
statement from the department noted that the partnership with local high schools and
Schoolcraft providing dual enrollment for students is a recognition of “the need for
more trade opportunities for students.” The statement also offered congratulations to
Bafile on his completion of the course.
