            Educational Park Key Club teamed up to
            help the Life Remodeled project in Detroit
            on Oct. 2.  Twenty students and six
            Kiwanis members spent a total of 208
            hours completing yard work and blight
            removal near the Durfee Innovations
            Society Center near Dexter and Linwood
            in Detroit. Life Remodeled volunteers have
            been working for two years to renovate an
            old middle school into a community cen-
            ter in a 300 block area surrounding
            Central High School. Annually, Life
            Remodeled draws more than 10,000 vol-
            unteers during a one-week period to
            address a specific area of the city. The
            group left from the Plymouth Canton
            Education Park at 8 a.m. and worked the
            entire day at one home which was severe-
            ly overgrown and had become a dumping
