Northville Holiday Home Tour, present-
ed by the Northville Community
Foundation. This year, the home tour
will take place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 17 andSaturday, Nov. 18.
"This event is a great way to get new
decorating ideas for your home while
also getting into the holiday spirit," said
Jessica Striegle, executive director of the
NorthvilleCommunityFoundation.
The Holiday Home Tour will feature
tours of five beautiful, privately-owned
Northville homes that have been deco-
rated top to bottom for the holidays. The
style of each home is different and there
truly is something for every taste,
Striegle said. The homes this year range
from a traditional condominium to a
homewith industrial chic flavor.
"One outstanding home is just loaded
with unique artist-made accessories,
another has recently undergone a com-
plete custom renovation of the first and
second floors. Holiday décor this year is
fromPear-Aphernalia,Williams Sonoma,
Gardenviews, and others," she added.
The 2017HolidayHomeTourwill also
feature a refreshment stop at the
Tipping Point Theatre in downtown
Northville. Guests can enjoy light
refreshments courtesy of the Northville
Meijer, and also enter to win two tickets
to a future Tipping Point Theatre pro-
duction.
Tickets for the 2017 Holiday home
tour are $25 in advance and $30 the day

Northville Community Foundation has
annually made grants to support non-

nity, awarded scholarships to local stu-
dents, organized and executed the
Northville Independence Day Parade,
and, since 2003, operated Maybury
Farm, a working farm with a mission to
connect the community to animals and
agriculture through hands-on experi-
ences that are both engaging and educa-
tional. The Northville Community
Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit

TOWNSHIP OF CANTON, MICHIGAN WHICH AMENDS THE ZONING DISTRICT BOUNDARIES ON THE ZON-
ING MAP AND THE APPLICABLE AREA OF THE CORPORATE PARK OVERLAY DISTRICT. THE CHARTER

Pursuant to Section 27.07 of Appendix A – Zoning, the zoning map is hereby amended by changing the zoning of
parcel nos. 004-99-0002-003 and 004-99-0007- 003 from LI, Light Industrial District to R-6, Single-Family Attached Residential
District as shown on the attached zoning map, and further subject to the Voluntary Statement of Conditions attached hereto.
PART II. Severability.
Should any section, subdivision, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance be declared by the courts to be
invalid, the validity of the Ordinance as a whole, or in part, shall not be affected other than the part invalidated.

Savings Clause.
The amendment of the Canton Code of Ordinances set forth in this Ordinance does not affect or impair any act

PART IV. Repealer.
All other
Ordinances or part of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed only to the extent to give this Ordinance full force and
effect.
PART V. Publication.
The Clerk for the Charter Township of Canton shall cause the ordinance to be published in the man-
ner required by law.
Part VI. Effective Date.
A public hearing having been held hereon pursuant to the provisions of Section
103 of Act 110 of the Public Acts of 2006, as amended, the provisions of this Ordinance shall be published within fifteen (15)
days of its adoption of publications of a notice in a newspaper circulated in Canton Township stating the date of enactment and
effective date, a brief statement as to its regulatory effect and that a complete copy of the Ordinance is available for public pur-
chase, use and inspection at the office of the Township Clerk during the hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Local Time. The provi-
sion of this Ordinance shall become effective seven (7) days after its publication.

RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF
TRUSTEES CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF CANTON Re-approval of the
Site Plan for Eden by the Rouge Assisted Living Facility and Private
Road WHEREAS,
the Project Sponsor has requested re-approval of the site
plan for Eden By The Rouge Assisted Living Facility, located east of
Sheldon between Palmer Road and Michigan Avenue on a portion of parcel
108-99-0001-706; and,
WHEREAS,
the Board has reviewed the site plan
and determines the proposal to be consistent with the Zoning Ordinance reg-
ulations and Planned Development Agreement;
NOW THEREFORE BE
IT RESOLVED,
the Board of Trustees of the Charter Township of Canton,
Michigan does hereby re-approve site plan for Eden by the Rouge Assisted
Living Facility and private road, as the proposal provides needed housing
and care opportunities for Canton’s senior citizens and increases the tax base
of the township on property that would be otherwise tax-exempt; subject to

Northville police have arrested a 27-
year-old man in connection with the bur-
glary of a local restaurant.
According to police reports, Kevin Alex
Greene, of Detroit, had previously assisted
with custodial services at Rocky's of
Northville where the theft was discovered
by employees themorning of Sept. 19.
Police reported that a safe was taken
fromthe building.
Following an extensive investigation by
detectives from the Northville Township
Police Department, Greene was arrested
Oct. 5 and detectives recovered stolen
property related to the burglary.
Police said that Rocky's was singled out
and that no other related incidents were
reported inNorthvilleTownship.
Greenewas arraignedOct. 6 on charges
of breaking and entering and larceny in a
building, according to a report from
Northville police. He was given a $20,000
bond and remanded to the Wayne County
Jail.
Police praised the staff members at
Rocky's of Northville for their prompt
reporting of the break in.
Greene is due in 35th District Cour for
a preliminary examination on the charges
Oct. 27.
