Tickets are now on sale for the 12th
Annual Northville Grub Crawl planned for
6-9:30 p.m. July 25.
Participating Northville restaurants will
offer samples of appetizers and entrée
items along with cash bar specials for the
event. Ticket holders can use free shuttle
transportation to each restaurant or "crawl
"on their own. Restaurants participating
the year include: Aubree's of Northville,
Brann's Sizzlin' Steaks & Sports Grill,
Brick's of Northville, Browndog Treats,
Drink's & Eats, Garage Grill & Fuel Bar,

The Canton Farmers Market will be
open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. every Sunday
through Oct. 12 (closed July 2) at
Preservation Park, located at 500 N. Ridge

This open-air-market features a variety

Fickle Love and Forbidden Fruit set
Love is in the air at Barefoot
Productions Theatre where Fickle Love
and Forbidden Fruit will offer audiences
four short one-act plays that take them
through the humorous aspects of love that
ring true today.

Art workshop available
The Detroit Institute of Arts is bringing a
drop-in art workshop to downtown Wayne
from11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday, July 14.
This is a free workshop designed to help
stimulate children's creative abilities.
The workshop is available for drop-in
attendance any time during the day at
Knight's of Columbus #3021 Notre Dame

StandUpSummer Camp set
A camp for empowering young people to
find their voice featuring art, music and
poetry will take place through July 28 at
HolyRedeemer Church.
The camp is open to students in first
through sixth grades living in Belleville.
The cost is $5 per week or $25 for the sum-
mer. Older youths are being sought as vol-
unteer junior leasers.
The camp will take place from 10 a.m.
until 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
Lunchand snackswill be provided.
Adult volunteers are needed and regis-
tration is on a first come basis.

Andy the Ambulance is host
Andy the Ambulance will learn to call 9-
1-1 as park of the free program for children
ages 4-7 sponsored by Huron Valley
Ambulance.
The interactive program will include
teaching children to call 9-1-1 with profes-
sional emergency dispatchers and local
police helping with the mock calls. There
will also be a craft station, mini-medic sta-
tion with real medical equipment to use on
a teddy bear patient and ambulance, fire
truck andpolice car tours.
Pre-registration is required for the free
sessions which will run from 5-6:30 p.m.
July 17 at Plymouth Cultural Center and
Aug. 7 at the Van Buren Township Fire
Department.

Community Band sets concerts
The Belleville Community Band will
perform a second summer concert this year
at BellevilleFirst UnitedMethodist Church.
The free concert is set for 3 p.m. July 30.
The church is located at 417 Charles St.
inBelleville.
Free basketball camp offered
Once again this year, the Inkster Legends
will offer the free basketball camp for both
boys and girls from 9-16 years old. The
camp will take place Friday, Aug. 4 and
Saturday, Aug. 5 at the Booker Dozier
Recreational Complex, 2025 Middlebelt
Road in Inkster, about 1/3 mile north of
MichiganAvenue.
The players will be divided into two
groups with instruction for ages 9-12 taking
place at 7:30 a.m. and at 12:30 p.m. for those
players 13-16 years of age.
Registration deadline for the free camp
is July 15 and applications are now avail-
able at the Inkster Recreation Complex,
Westland John Glenn High School,
RobichaudHighSchool and at theRomulus
Athletic Center. The applications should be

Church hosts day camp
For the 10th year, Trinity Episcopal
Church will host a day camp for children
from9 a.m. until 3 p.m. July 17-21.
Children will enjoy songs, skits, nature
activities arts and crafts, games, Bible study
and special activities. The camp is open to
all children in the community who have
completed kindergarten throughage 12.

Kid'sDay at market
The Westland Farmers and Artisans
Market will welcome children of all ages
duringKidsDay from3-7 p.m. July 20.
Along with more than 30 vendors and
artisans, there will be special music, crafts,
balloons, story time and goodie bags for
children.
The market takes place at 1901 N.
Carlson, south of Ford Road in Central City
Park. Vendors will be selling produce,
plants, fresh foods and crafts. There is live
music every week and EBT cards are
accepted.

WoundedWarrior leads yoga class
A special fundraiser for the Wounded
Warrior Project is planned in Canton
Township.
Old Glory Flags and Flagpoles of Canton
and Canton Leisure Services have joined
forces to host "Yoga in the Park" with Dan
Nevins at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 22.
The benefit for the Wounded Warrior
Project is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and
will take place in Heritage Park, located
behind the Canton Administration
Building,1150 S. Canton Center Road.
Participants are asked to arrive by 8:30 a.m.
for event day check-in or registration.
All proceeds from this event will go to
benefit Wounded Warrior Project. Tickets

The St. Anthony Men's Club Golf Outing
is set to begin with registration from 8-8:30
p.m. Sunday, July 23 at Fellows Creek Golf
Club.
The entry fee includes 18 holes of gold
with a cart, lunch at the turn and beverage.
There will be an All American lunch buffet
and awards at 2 p.m.
