The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Pro-Tem John Barden.

B. Res. #22-123 Moved by William Wadsworth, seconded by Tina Talley to approve the Minutes
from the Special Meeting - Public Hearing held on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. for public
input on the proposed 2022/23 FY Budget as set forth in Chapter 9, Section 9.3 of the City Charter.

5.Mayor's Report - Robert A. McCraight, Mayor
A. Res. #22-124 Moved by Eva Webb, seconded by William Wadsworth to concur with the
Administration and adopt the Resolution to request the State of Michigan take appropriate action to
resolve the City of Highland Park's debt issue to the Great Lakes Water Authority and leave the City
of Romulus whole. Motion Carried Unanimously
B. Res. #22-125 Moved by Celeste Roscoe, seconded by Tina Talley to concur with the
Administration and adopt the City of Romulus Public Participation Plan, as part of the
Redevelopment Ready Community best practice requirements of the Michigan Economic
Development Corporation (MEDC). Motion Carried Unanimously
C. Moved by Tina Talley, seconded by William Wadsworth to concur with the Administration and
adopt the General and Special Appropriations Act and Tax Levy authorization for the City of
Romulus and 34th District Court Fiscal Year 2022-2023 as submitted by Mayor McCraight.
Councilmembers had discussions on separating approval of the 34th District Court's budget from the
City's Budget. The Deputy Clerk presented protocol under Robert's Rules of Order as adopted by
City Council on how to proceed forward.
Moved by William Wadsworth, seconded by Kathy Abdo for an amendment to the stated motion
to separate Section 36 and the 34th District Court's budget from the General and Special
Appropriation Act. Roll Call Vote: Ayes - Abdo, Roscoe, Wadsworth, Williams Nays - Barden,
Talley, Webb Motion Carried
Res. #22-126 Moved by Tina Talley, seconded by William Wadsworth to concur with the
Administration and adopt the General and Special Appropriations Act and Tax Levy authorization
for the City of Romulus Fiscal Year 2022-2023 as submitted by Mayor McCraight.
