Calendar of events
really are men and women in uni-
form patrolling our streets who
believe they can serve and protect
and make life better for the rest of
us.
And while there are certainly
still some obvious arrogant miscre-
ants in positions of authority in
some of our communities, we
believe that the public will now be
ever more vigilant and aware of
the necessity of keeping honest
peoplehonest.
We take the recent reports and
ousting of those who have abused
their positions of authority or
power as a good omen. We think it
means that people are paying
attention and that finally, the mis-
deeds of those unfit for these posi-
tions are coming to light.
We can only hope the public
remains vigilant, aware and very
careful. These types of abuses
flourish only when the public
remains apathetic anduninvolved.
So each year, when the Green
Street Fair arrives in Plymouth, we
urge residents from throughout the
area to visit.
Quinn and Rork deserve the
gratitude and attention of the
entire community in this effort to
bring attention to the threat to our-
selves and future generations.
It is a fun event, the atmosphere
is party-like and cheerful and the
activities always bring a smile, but
the message at the Green Street
Fair needs to be taken very seri-
ously.
