Veterans set Fish Frys
Plymouth VFW Post 6695 will host
Friday Night Fish Frys from 5-7 p.m.
every Friday night during Lent. The fish
fryswill continue throughMarch 30.
Menu choices include cod, walleye,
shrimp or chicken strips. Dinners include
French fries, baked potato or macaroni
and cheese, cole slaw, roll and butter and
coffee.
There will also be 50-50 raffles during
the dinners.
The Plymouth VFW Post is located at
1426 S Mill St. near Lilley Road just
northof AnnArborRoad.
Members' work exhibited
The Northville Art House will host the
12th Annual Members' Exhibition
through March 24. The exhibit will show-
case the talents of current member artists
through original works of art created in a
variety ofmedia and styles.
The 12th Annual Members' Exhibition
will be open during Art House hours,
noon until 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and
noonuntil 4 p.m. Saturday.
The Northville Art House is located at

Church serves Lenten dinners
St. Mary Catholic Church of Wayne
will serve Fish Fry dinners from 4-7 p.m.
every Friday through March 30 at the
church, 34530MichiganAve. inWayne.
There re a variety of choices available
included baked salmon, fried cod, baked
fish, shrimp and macaroni and cheese in
various combinations.
The dinners range in price from $6 to
$12 and extra items are available for pur-
chase with meals include individual fish
pieces, baked potato, French fries and
macaroni and cheese.
All dinners are served with cole slaw,
roll and a choice of water, lemonade or
coffee.
Cruise raffle under way
Two lucky people will cruise the
British Isles for 12 days for the grand total
of only $50.
The Michigan Philharmonic will sell
400 raffle tickets at $50 each for the
cruise, which includes round trip airfare
for two. The lucky winner will cruise
from Aug. 17 through 29 aboard the
Princess CruiseLines.
The cruise will depart from
Southampton, England and include ports
of call at Guernsey and the Channel
Islands in England; Cork and Dublin in
Ireland, Belfast in Northern Ireland;
Glasgow, Inverness, Loch Ness and
Edinburgh in Scotland and Paris and
Normandy in France. Passengers will
also cruise theNorthSea for two days.
The drawing for the winner of the
cruise is planned for April 14 at the
Plymouth Arts and Recreation Complex
(PARC) and the winner will be contacted
that day. Ticket holders need not be pres-
ent at the drawing towin.

Deadline for Bunny Brunch isMarch 16
Two holiday traditions - the Brunch
with the Easter Bunny and the Easter
Egg Hunt - are both scheduled for
Saturday, March 24, at the Romulus
Senior Center, 36525Bibbins.
Advance registration is required for
the Easter Bunny Brunch, which begins
at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $12 and must be
purchased by March 16 at the mayor's
office at Romulus City Hall, 11111 Wayne
Road. Children with tickets will enjoy
breakfast, crafts and a photograph with
theEasterBunny.
The free Easter Egg Hunt is open to
children ages 11 and younger. The hunt
begins promptly at noon and is over
quickly, so early arrival is recommended
behind the Senior Center. Children must
bring their own baskets. Photos with the
Easter Bunny will be available after the
hunt for $5 each. The hunt is on rain or
shine.

farmfrom11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Mayor's team takes onRedWings
The annual charity hockey game
between Westland Mayor William R.
Wild's Wild Wings and the Detroit Red
Wings Alumni Association players is set
to begin at 7:30 March 16 at the Mike
Modano IceArena.
Wild and his various teammates have
generated more than $150,000 to help
fund improvements at the municipal ice
rink. This year, the doors to the arenawill
open at 5:30 p.m. and at 6:15 p.m. the
Westland Hockey Association Mini-Mites
and Mites will take to the ice to show off
their skills, hopefully not embarrassing
Wild's team.
The Red Wings Alumni players and
the Wild Wings will drop the puck to
begin their game at 7:30, following the
pre-game fun.
Adult admission is $10 and $5 for chil-
dren ages 6 through 12.
Those 5 and younger are admitted at
no cost withan adult.

Eagles celebrate St. Patrick
The Van Buren FOE 3996 will host a
St. Patrick's Day dinner from 5-8 p.m.
