Stepping it up

Traditional Polish dancers will perform on Saturday

Members of the Polish Centennial Dancers will perform
at 4:30 Saturday on the Kellogg Park stage during the Fall
Festival this year. Long one of the traditional favorites at
the weekend event, the dancers in their authentic cos-
tumes are a treasured ethnic symbol. The group members
educate and share their Polish heritage and culture
through music and dance.
The group comprises dancers from ages 3 to 18 and has
members in Wayne, Oakland and Livingston counties.
The group also hosts the famous Polish Kitchen at the
corner of Main Street and Penniman where genuine
Polish recipe foods are available. The sale of Polish
sausage, pierogies, sauerkraut and other delicacies helps
fund the continued educational and performances of the
group.
