Romulus schools accepting enrollments
The Romulus Community School District
will accept applications for School of Choice
students for the 2011-2012 school year until
Aug. 18.
Five vacancies in each grade, kinder-
garten through five are available at Barth,
Halecreek, Romulus and Wick elementary
schools, in grades six through eight at
Romulus Middle School and in grade 12 only
at RomulusHighSchool.
Applications are available from 8 a.m.
until 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the
board of education offices, 36540 Grant Road

SalemCanton 1991 reunion set
A reunion of the Salem Canton class of
1991 is planned for 7 p.m. until midnight
tomorrow at The Summit Banquet Center in
Canton.
The evening will include an open bar, a
banquet-style dinner, a photo DVD and a

The graduates will have a Plymouth Pub
Crawl on Saturday and a family picnic at
PlymouthTownshippark onSunday.

Foundation races to help kids
The Community Action Foundation, a
group that provides help to needy children in
five area communities, has scheduled the
annual fundraising event for Aug. 14.
The 5K race takes place at Van Buren
Park at beginning at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, Aug.
14. Registration will be followed by a Kids 1K
race at 8:15 and the 5K race at 8:30 a.m.
Following the races, the community is invited
for free hot dogs and activities. To download
