financing, the volunteers and the entertain-
ment that elevates this event into something
very special.
We were sorry to see it wane over the past
few years and then disappear last year----but
we are sure glad its back.
The event will take place Sept. 16, 17 and
18 this year. Don'tmiss it.
The only real motive of the Republicans
right now is to keep the Bush tax cuts in
place so that the fight about themexpiring in
2012 takes place closer to the election. They
want the economy to continue to flounder so
they can get their "chosen one" into the
WhiteHouse.
The Tea Party people just want govern-
ment to go away. They want to worry about
themselves, nobody else and show the estab-
lished politicians just how much influence
and power they have. Most of them haven't
thought further than their own misplaced
idealismto the consequences of their actions
or their own failures of social responsibility.
I'm just sick of them all. A seventh-grade
government class in any of our local school
districts could have done a better job of fac-
ing the realities of our country's economic
needs and crisis than the "political leaders"
and "public servants" we voted into office.
After the incredible onslaught these ado-
lescent fools perpetrated on the entire coun-
try during the past month, after the damage
their lack of common sense and public
decency perpetrated on our senior citizens,
our armed services, those in our country
dependent on Medicare or Medicaid, the
only money I would give any of them would
be for a one-way ticket out of the country.
The trouble is, they have proudly and
publicly embarrassed the United States in
front of the entire world, so their destination
optionsmay be seriously limited.
