Law enforcement officers con-
tinue to search for a wanted
criminal who shot a woman and
left her to die in her Romulus
homeApril 14.
The victim's three children
were in the home at the time of
the shooting and called 911 for
medical help for their mother
who had been shot in the
abdomen.
The victim was transported to
a local hospital where she is
reported in critical condition
after being shot by a man identi-
fied as Thurman (Tray) Taylor,
described as her boyfriend.
According to Deputy U.S.
Marshal Aaron Garcia, Taylor
has a long history of violence par-
ticularly against women and is
considered armed and danger-
ous.
“This guy shoots into a house
with three young children in
there, this guy's an animal,”
Garcia said.
Taylor immediately left the
scene after the shooting.
“His 2005 Cadillac is still not
recovered he was driving in his
crime. We don't know if he hid it,
if he stashed it somewhere or if
he's still driving it. We just simply
don't know. We need to find this
vehicle, we need to find the fugi-
tive that's on the run right now,”
Garcia said.
The license plate on the vehi-
cle is DVM 3720. Taylor, 29, is
described as 6-feet tall and
weighing about 230 pounds.
“This guy is a known docu-
mented gang member with the
GangsterDisciples,”Garcia said.
Taylor was released from
prison in 2016 after serving
prison time for an assault on his
ex girlfriend, Garcia said.
“He was accused of tying up
his girlfriend at the timewhowas
pregnant with his child, tying her
up, assaulting her and trying to
set her on fire,”Garcia said.
Taylor is described as heavily
armed and “will do whatever it
takes to avoid going back to
prison.”
“This guy's a complete danger
to the public and the community
because of his violent history,”
Garcia said. “He has nothing to
lose at this point.”
There is a cash reward for any
information leading to the arrest
of Taylor. Information leading to
his whereabouts can be referred
to the U.S. Marshals office at
(313) 234-5656. Callers can
remain anonymous, Garcia
added.
