Liberty Fest is a special weekend
for the Canton Community. On June 14-
16, Heritage Park will be filled will
music, fun, food and laughter aswe cel-
ebrate our 27thLibertyFest.
Friends and families can look for-
ward to three action-packed days that
all ages and all interestswill enjoy.
My personal favorite event of the
weekend is on Saturday morning, as I
help cook and serve pancakes with the
CantonLions Club from7-11 a.m.
However, there is something fun
going on every minute. Thursday and
Friday evenings feature live entertain-
ment all around the park. Friday
evening also features International
Festival cultural performances from
all over theworld.
A big part of Liberty Fest is thewide
variety of food and beverages that are
available throughout the park. The
Beverage Tent, as well as the Taste of
Liberty Fest will be located near the
amphitheater once again, where festi-
val-goers can enjoy signature menu
items from area restaurants, and adult
beverages. Of course other festival
favorites will be available all weekend.
We are talking about corn dogs, cotton
candy, kettle corn, elephant ears and
more.
Of course, Liberty Fest wouldn't be
complete without the carnival rides.
Theywill be available every day for the
adventure-seekers in your family.
Wristbands are available for purchase
on site.
The Liberty Fest weekend comes to
a close on Saturday night when the
night sky erupts with one of the largest
and most spectacular fireworks shows
in Michigan. Tens of thousands of
neighbors will fill Heritage Park, area
backyards, Pheasant Run Golf Club,
and roads in the area to view this
absolutely incredible aerial show.
We are so proud to continue
Canton's 27-year tradition of presenting
a family-friendly weekend event. Most
events and activities are available with
little or no cost to festival attendees.
