Party Tent band sure to keep crowds warm during weekend
Once again, this year, the Party Tent will be the place to
see and be seen during the Ice Festival in downtown
Plymouth.
“It just gets more popular every year,” noted E.G. Nick's
co-owner Frank Agostini. This will be the fifth year the
restaurant has sponsored a Party Tent during the festival.
The huge, white, heated tent is erected in the back parking
lot off Harvey Street behind the restaurant on Forest Street
every year andusually draws ahuge crowd..
“It's really a good time,” Agostini said. “This year we have
one of Detroit's hottest party bands, Big Ray and the Motor
CityKings bothFriday and Saturday nights. They play blues,
classic rock, Motown…they are a real party band,” Agostini
said. “People love them.” The band will entertain from 8
p.m. until midnight on both Friday and Saturday during the
Ice Festival. The tent, as usual, will have bar service and
sponsors includeLaBatt, Svedka vodka and Jagermeister.
There will be a $2 cover charge in the tent this year, but
that money will be donated on behalf of E.G. Nick's and the
Plymouth Whalers to Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Ann
Arbor to kick off Veteran's weekend at an upcoming
Whaler's game, Agostini said.
“It's a guaranteed good time for those over 21,” Agostini
said.
