There is almost always a flurry of
activity and something special going on,
whether on the patio or in a tent in the
huge back parking lot, at E.G. Nicks in
Plymouth.
During the ice festival, the restau-
rant will be in the center of activities
along Forest Avenue, where there will
be lots of ice sculptures and some spe-
cial attractions.
The indoor-outdoor patio on Forest
Avenue will once again be the spot for
the Svedka Ice Bar, serving several spe-
cialty drinks in a unique way from the
bar carved completely from ice. This
year, owners Frank Agostini and Tony
Belli are also opening the ice lounge on
the patio areawhichwill allow for seat-
ing outside for about 20. The restaurant
has discovered some new 3-foot
heaters that will make it toasty for visi-
tors, Agostini said.
E. G. Nick's is always the place to be
during the ice festival, with the Party
Tent in the rear parking lot. "The music
this year is great. It's a real party band,"
Agostini said. This year, Big Ray and
the Motor City Kings will entertain
from 8 p.m. until midnight both Friday
andSaturday nights.
Regulars know that there is just as
much fun to be had at E.G. Nick's any
time of the year.
Usually on Saturday, the chefs offer
specials which bring crowds from
throughout the area to enjoy the
American cooking, with a twist. The
recently updated menu also includes a
not-to-be missed ultimate macaroni
and cheese that has diners swooning.
