Party on...
Party Lot promises great entertainment, good time
Every year, the Party Lot during the
Plymouth Ice Festival draws a larger
and larger crowd.
That's primarily because the huge
heated tent continues to offer popular
bands and unique features and spe-
cials each year.
“It really has become the place to
be,” noted Frank Agostini, one of the
owners of E.G. Nick's which installs
the enormous, heated tent in the park-
ing lot behind the Forest Street restau-
rant where the over-21 crowd gathers
Friday and Saturday nights during the
festival.
Agostini and partner Tony Belli
said the tent is a great deal of work,
especially since they try to add new
features every year to surprise regular
visitors and those who may not have
visited the Party Lot before. This year
features include a second ice bar in
the parking lot, or Party Lot Lodge, in
addition to the one traditionally con-
structed on the deck at the restaurant.
The bar is carved from a huge block of
ice, as are the seats, and visitors can sit
down and have the bartender serve
them one of the specialty drinks being
planned for the event. The ice bar at
the Party Lot is sponsored by Tuaca
and will offer some special Tuaca
drinks. LaBatt's Blue and LaBatt's
Blue Light are also being served in the
tent, Agostini said.
“Therewill be lots of giveaways and
free stuff, as usual,” Agostini said. “It's
just a terrific, party atmosphere and a
lot of fun.”
The Party Lot is sponsored byMGM
Grand, Svedka Vodka, LaBatt's,
Gordon Food Service and WOMC,
which will make the feature even bet-
ter, Agostini said. “They are great peo-
ple andhave been a big help,” Agostini
added.
There will be live bands both
Friday and Saturday and the Party Lot
is open from 6 until midnight. The live
entertainment begins each night at 7
p.m. Patrons can enjoy the craft beers
served at E.G. Nick's inside at the
longest bar in Plymouth along with the
fullmenu of food.
“We'll be serving beer, specialty
drinks, SvedkaVodka andTuaca in the
tent, as usual, but people are welcome
inside if they want a sandwich or a full
meal. We'll have specials on drinks
and menu items, too,” he said. “They
won't have to come inside to get warm,
though, because the tent is really well
heated.”
Agostini and Belli agreed that the
Party Lot was one of their favorite
projects during the year.
“We do it because it is fun for every-
body. We work hard, getting it organ-
ized and figuring out the logistics and
what we can do that's new, but honest-
ly, we all have a good time. It's a fun
crowd and the music is always top
notch.
“I think everybody always has a
great time,” he said.
